MTI National City Catalog - This was a contract where our client (who has MTI for a client) did the design and
we made it work. The catalog is an intranet site used by one of MTI's clients: National City to order promotional products.
We implemented a shopping cart system from scratch which, among other things provides the ability to choose a color and logo for the product
they are ordering. It also allows for the customer to enter up to three shipping addresses and distribute the quantities of product amongst
these multiple addresses. Feel free to try out the system via the link above as the link is to a

Counseling Manager is an application Joe has designed for the Ferris State University Educational and Career Counseling Center
over the last year. All of his articles are based on features of this application which he felt would be useful to his peers.
Since we have not taken any screenshots so far (many of them would violate confidentiality) a brief description will have to suffice.
Counseling Manager consists of three main parts: the Microsoft Access front end, the SQL Server 2000 back end and the VB6 version control application.
The front end is approximately 5mb and contains the forms and logic to schedule individual and workshop counseling appointments (including interfacing
with counselors' lotus notes calendar), track the academic progress of the students who have been assisted by
their services and provide reports to chart the progress of the department among many other things. The sql back end consists of all the data collected by
counselors and secretaries via the front end plus that which we pull from the campus mainframe so that we have complete student records including grades on hand
for appointment scheduling and reporting. The VB6 version control system allows the developer to have a vehicle with which to distribute application updates
to users. It consists of a centralized build repository and a client service which sits in the system tray of every authorized user to assure that on launch
